Sandra Cam: My list is closer to the truth

MANILA - There are other lawmakers allegedly involved in the pork barrel scam who were not included in the version of Janet Napoles' list turned over by former Senator Panfilo Lacson to the Blue Ribbon Committee, Sandra Cam said.

Cam said that the list in her possession named 16 senators, compared to only 11 in the unsigned list of Napoles. Of the 16, Cam said, three have been indicted for plunder, 3 are former senators, and 10 are incumbent.

She added there are 82 congressmen on the list given to her compared to only 69 on the unsigned list.

She challenged the Senate to call back Janet Napoles to let her testify on which lawmakers are indeed involved in the scam.

I'm sorry to say that. I'm a taxpayer, but I don't have respect for this institution anymore. Sabihin na niya," Cam told reporters at the Senate.

Cam was in the Senate Wednesday to attend the hearing of the Senate committee on justice and human rights on bills providing for the protection, security, and other benefits for whistleblowers.

Speaking to reporters, Cam also criticized President Aquino for saying only now that he has seen three versions of the list of officials allegedly involved in the scam. She accused the administration of protecting its allies.

That should be called 'yellow ribbon' because of the involvement of some [Liberal Party] members," Cam said.

She said she is not insisting that the list in her possession is truthful but is closer to the truth, adding that it was given by a source who has previously given her reliable or "class A" information.

It's just a list, a two-page handwritten list.

Look for the ‘big, big pig’ - Cam

Cam won't confirm nor deny that Senate President Franklin Drilon is on the list given to her but reiterated that Drilon has close ties with the Napoles family.

She noted that Drilon was also Senate President when Napoles was not summoned despite being named in a Senate investigation in 2005 on the fertilizer fund scam.

"I will not confirm nor deny (that Drilon is on the list), but help me in searching that big, big pig. 'Yung bulugan," Cam saids, referring to the local term for breeding boar.

"We're looking [at] this pork barrel and this is pig. And this is baboy in short. So itong mga naka-include doon, may biik, may baboy. Pero yung bulugan, wala. So help us, please, to look for that bulugan, mga bulugan, para mailabas na.
