No 'Tres Marias' in Palace - Lacierda
MANILA - Malacanang denied the existence of “Tres Marias” allegedly working there as bagmen for a high official.
In a press conference, Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda classified as outdated the facts cited in a news article published by The Daily Tribune entitled, "Tres Marias tagged as Malacanang bagmen.”
The article claims there are 3 powerful ladies calling the shots in Malacanang for fundraising activities for a Malacanang official whom the newspaper did not name.
Lacierda said the facts presented by the newspaper were outdated, noting that one of those named had long resigned from government.
He said the other people mentioned in the news article are honest individuals who report for work daily and are committed to the Aquino administration's “daang matuwid (straight path).”
"The source should update his information. It's incorrect," Lacierda said.
