Foreign Affairs Secretary Jojo Binay?
MANILA, Philippines – Instead of the interior and local government portfolio, Vice-President elect Jejomar Binay could do well as head of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), according to popular singer-songwriter Jim Paredes.
In an interview with ANC's Headstart on Monday, Paredes said the incoming vice-president is qualified to handle a Cabinet post after being a local official for more than 20 years.
“Ever since we had a vice-president, traditionally he is given the foreign affairs (portfolio),” he said.
Vice-Presidents Salvador "Doy" Laurel and Teofisto "Tito" Guingona held the DFA portfolio briefly during the Aquino and Arroyo administrations, respectively.
Paredes said Aquino would do well to engage his vice-president especially since Binay has a talent for administration. He also said that he will support the new vice-president even though he did not vote for him in the May elections.
Like Paredes, singer Leah Navarro agreed that Binay should also get a Cabinet position.
"I agree that he should have a role as well....I would rather wait then for president Noy to feel what he feels is fitting for the vice president," said Navarro, who is a convenor of the Black and White Movement.

Binay is too greedy and
Binay is too greedy and ambitious of power. If I were the president, I won't give him any role in my administration. There are many able, capable and trustworthy people around to choose from. Don't gamble with this guy. He is a damn kind of being that cannot be trusted at all.

BINAY WAS UP FOR SOMETHING AND HAS HIDDEN AGENDA. 2 DAYS BEFORE THE PROCLAMATION OF HIS WINNING IN CONGRESS LAST WEEK. HE ALREADY APPEARED ON NEWS HINTING TO GET THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL AND INTERIOR GOVERNMENT POSITION WITH A BIG BUDGET? WHAT THE HELL IS HIS PLATFORM REALLY? I THOUGHT HE IS RUNNING FOR THIS VP POSITION TO HELP CURVE CORRUPTION AND HELP THE FILIPINO PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY SUFFERING. BUT WHY IS HE ASKING A BIG BUDGET ALREADY? DOESN'T HE GET IT THAT WE ARE GOING TO START FROM THE SCRATCH AND FROM THE TRILLION DEBTS THAT ARROYO WILL LEAVE BEHIND?

I HOPE NOYNOY AQUINO WILL SEE THIS AND WILL BE SMART NOT TO GIVE THIS GUY A PROMINENT POSITION IN THE GOVERNMENT.
BINAY SHOULD BE ASSIGN TO TAKE CARE OF THE PEACE PROCESS IN MINDANAO (HE WANTS LOCAL, FINE! PLEASE P-NOY GIVE HIM THIS LOCAL). THAT WOULD BE HIS GREAT CONTRIBUTION. BUT I DOUBT IF HE WILL ACCEPT IT. HE WANTS THE EASY MONEY AND NOT THE HARD WAY.
BINAY IS NOTHING BUT AN OPPORTUNIST AND HE IS WORST THAN VILLAROYO! HE IS VERY INSECURE AND DETERMINE TO GET WHAT HE WANTS AS LONG AS THE BIG BUDGET (PORK BARREL) IS THERE.. IS WANT TO BE THE #1 TO GET IT. SO DISGUSTED!!!
