Senator Jinggoy Estrada surrendered Monday to police and was booked for plunder and graft at Camp Crame.
Estrada became a cellmate of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. after the Sandiganbayan ordered them detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center.
The 51-year-old Estrada is the second high-profile official arrested within days over the multibillion-peso pork barrel scandal.
He is among 54 people indicted for the alleged scam in which lawmakers, their staff, and other officials are accused of embezzling millions of pesos allotted for development projects.
