Jinggoy's 2 kids positive for A (H1N1)
MANILA - Two children of opposition Sen. Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada have tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1) but have already recovered from the illness, the senator said Wednesday.
Estrada said his 19-year-old daughter, a student of De la Salle University on Taft Avenue, Manila, was the first to test positive for the virus. Three days later, Estrada's 15-year-old son, who is studying at Xavier School, San Juan, also tested positive for A (H1N1).
The senator said the two kids were hospitalized for a week and have fully recovered.
Estrada, who had just arrived from an overseas trip, said he and his mother, Luisa "Loi" Ejercito, are willing to undergo quarantine as suggested by Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.
He said he and Ejercito did not show any symptoms of A (H1N1) infection after passing through the airport's regular thermal scanners.
