MANILA - The camp of Janet Lim Napoles, Ronald John Lim and John Raymond de Asis filed a joint motion for bail at the Sandiganbayan on Thursday afternoon.

The three are accused of plunder in connection with the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.

In their 11-page motion, the three assailed the testimonial and documentary evidence presented by the prosecution, saying these are weak and not enough to prove they are guilty beyond reasonable doubt for the crime of plunder.

The motion stated that the testimonial evidence presented by whistleblowers-turned-state-witnesses Benhur Luy, Merlina Suñas and Marina Sula are self-serving, and full of glaring inconsistencies and lies, making these inadmissible in court.

The anti-graft court's First Division has scheduled the bail hearing of Napoles, Lim and de Asis on July 3 at 8:30 a.m.

Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the pork barrel scam, has been detained in Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna since last year for a separate case of serious illegal detention filed by Luy.

Both Lim and de Asis are still at large.
