Visiting hours for Bong extended today
MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday allowed the visitors of detained Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. to stay longer than the regular visiting hours.
According to PNP spokesperson Reuben Theodore Sindac, Revilla's visitors were allowed to stay in the Custodial Center in Camp Crame until 7 p.m.
Sindac pointed out that Revilla was able to accept visitors only in the afternoon since he had to go to the Sandiganbayan in the morning for his arraignment.
Sindac said Revilla had 21 visitors today. Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who is also detained in the Custodial Center, had 8 visitors, the PNP said.
The regular visiting hours for the two senators are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.
The anti-graft court's First Division earlier entered a not guilty plea for Revilla after the senator refused to enter any plea on the plunder and graft charges he is facing over the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
The hearing for Revilla's motion for bail has been set on July 10. -- Report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
