Belmonte, Corona garner least approval rating
MANILA, Philippines - Of the top 5 government officials, Filipinos trusted Vice President Jejomar Binay the most, and Chief Justice Renato Corona the least, according to a Pulse Asia survey.
Based on the May 21 to June 4 survey of Pulse Asia, 83% of respondents gave Binay their thumbs-up while 38% only approved of Corona.
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, on the other hand, got an approval rating of 57% and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. garnered 39%.
Its survey last week showed that President Benigno Aquino III got 71%, barely unchanged from the previous survey.
In terms of trust, Binay again got the highest score at 81%. Aquino got 71%.
Belmonte and Corona got a plurality of 42% and 43% respectively.
Enrile, on the other hand, scored 49%.
The Pulse Asia nationwide survey is based on a sample of 1,200 adults 18 years old and above with a ± 3% error margin.
