Aquino's extradition trial postponed indefinitely
The extradition hearing of a former official of the Philippine National Police in the United States has been postponed indefinitely.
This is according to Michael Ray Aquino's lawyer, Mark Berman.
Berman told ABS-CBN News that there is a possibility that Glenn Dumlao may be compelled to at least give a deposition for Aquino's extradition hearing.
Berman initially requested for Dumlao and Cezar Mancao to testify at the hearing but Mancao opted to go back home instead.
Last month, Dumlao dropped his appeal to stay in the United States and told his immigration lawyer, Felix Vinluan, that he is prepared to go home as well and face criminal charges against him in connection with the Dacer-Corbito double murder case.
No ruling yet on whether Dumlao will be deposed or will be asked to testify, but Berman said there are plans to transfer Dumlao to New Jersey from California, where he has been detained.
