MANILA - A spokesperson of Mrs. Corazon Aquino assured members of the media on Thursday that the former President's condition remains stable.

Lourdes Siytangco, Mrs. Aquino's spokeswoman, made the assurance after several members of the media rushed to Makati City Medical Center late Wednesday night due to rumors that the former president's health had worsened.

Some media groups received reports that family members and friends rushed to the hospital, but security guards told ABS-CBN News that only household helpers visited the former president on Wednesday night.

Siytangco said they have no idea where the news came from.

She urged the public to avoid circulating wrong information about the former president's health and, instead, join prayers for her fast recovery. With a report from Ryan Chua, ABS-CBN News
