Palace: Retired colonel now free to work for Arroyo
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - Retired Colonel Generoso Mariano, who made a videotape calling for President Benigno Aquino III’s overthrow, can now start to work freely for former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, a Palace official said.
In an interview over radio dzRB, Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said “Mariano can now start working for [Arroyo] when he retires.”
She clarified Mariano officially retires today. He was not sacked as deputy chief of the Naval Reserve Command, but was only ordered to explain his acts.
“You’re not supposed to be involved in partisan politics,” Valte said. Mariano made a videotape where he denounced Aquino for his alleged lack of leadership. Copies circulated on social networking sites on Saturday.
Asked who could be backing Mariano, Valte said “they are mouthing the same [criticisms, accusations]...it’s not hard to tell who’s mouthing the same lines.”
Asked what made her say it was Arroyo and her allies, Valte added, “just based on what her allies are saying, and what he is saying. Pakinggan niyo na lang.”
Valte said Malacanang is not worried of Mariano and his tapes.
“The AFP leadership already said there are no others who share his views, calls…We are confident that our soldiers are here to uphold the Constitution, to secure the country, not to engage in politics,” she said.

Colonel did not call for P-Noy's ouster
The Colonel did not actually call for the ouster of P-Noy. What he said, which he repeated for emphasis, was the need to replace the government. He could even be a P-Noy supporter who only wanted the latter to succeed. I am certain most Filipinos agree that if genuine change is to be achieved, it would help if we rid ourselves with the corrupt judiciary and the Congress that is loyal only to their pork barrel.
Double Standard
Pnoy pardoned all military rebels agains GMA administration. Starting will Trillanes. Gen Lim, et al.Now they will silence military who are against their style of governing.

New comedian in town
We have a new comedian in town.
Entering the picture is a certain vice cmdr (not the commander) of the navy reserve (not even a regular troops unit) asking for the resignation of the current President voted into power by unprecedented majority of the Filipino voters.
TWO THINGS – the guy is a complete nutcase - OR - he’s simply an avid supporter of the infamous arroyo kleptocracy given the humble task to stand in the middle of the plaza to blabber some incoherent noise to try divert attention from (...but instead provided comedic relief) the avalanche of corruption cases being discovered everyday against the klepto queen.
First case: Nutcase. Was the man on ‘speed” (wink wink) ? I don’t know. but according to the guy things are tooo slow, inferring that a sitting President only have A YEAR to turn things around…regardless of how pretty banged up and bankrupt the government he inherited from years of abuse and impunity by his thieving predecessor.
Second case: An ilk for squid tactics. The comedian is insinuating that the Filipino people are worse off now that we have a President whose integrity is intact...
...and the people are better off years ago when the country was ruled by someone who not only has dodgy legitimacy but also ruled with impunity in kleptocracy.
They say ignorance is a bliss and in a way it's true. Like when you don't feel embarrassed for something embarrassing bec you don't know it’s embarrassing.
Exactly like this guy who is not embarrassed for saying something pitifully ridiculous that no one would take seriously (except the arroyo kleptocracy supporters of course) bec he probably has no idea it is embarrassing.

kawawa naman si mang generoso mariano. he hates PNoy dahil hindi na siya puedeng mangutong, and he misses the good old days when he can steal from the kaban ng bayan with no one asking questions. now, mang generoso mariano only has his pension and entitlements got from military service to tide him over in his retirement, nothing more, no added riches and no millions got from kickbacks. it sucks to be honest, isn't retired colonel generoso mariano?

in this matter, this is an obvious disrespect to the president of the philippines.. i think Pinoy can do this same Arroyo did to Trillanes... hnd natin pwedng hayaan na ganunin nalgn ang leaderato ng ating bansa..hnd ganun kadali ang mamahala ng isang bansa pero nakkita naman natin na gngwa lhat ni Pinoy ang kanyang makakaya.. and as far as i can see mrming pag bbago simula ng umupo sya..sana lang sa lahat ng mga anomalya na kinasasangkutan ni GMA kht isa eh matikman nya..at magiging masaya nko dun..
