Bayan Mo iPatrol Mo (BMPM) will pay tribute to its Top 10 BIDA Patrollers today, July 23 at the University of Santo Tomas, in commemoration of BMPM's reaching 1 million Patroller members.

The criteria for judging included the impact of the story the Patrollers submitted, the quality of video material they sent, and their loyalty or frequency of submissions. This is the first time that BMPM recognized the efforts that its Patrollers have given since 2007.

BMPM also invited a number of speakers who will talk about the role of social media. Among the speakers are ABS-CBN Senior Reporter Doland Castro, who is also a graduate of UST; Jing Castaneda, BMPM's reporter; Inday Varona, change.org director; and Rowena Paraan, who currently heads BMPM.

There is more to expect from BMPM. Aside from its renowned Selfie Balita segment in Bandila, BMPM lined up a series of events for the Patrollers which will enable them to better report on disasters. Also, by next month, BMPM will be in Munoz, Nueva Ecija for a Mobile Journalism training at the Central Luzon State University (CLSU).

BMPM, the community and social services-focused citizen arm of ABS-CBN Integrated News, will also join DZMM's TLC (Teaching Learning Caring) 28-year special at the Amoranto Sports Complex on August 10.

And just last month, to give thanks to its Patrollers, BMPM conducted a surprise Flash Mob at the Quezon City Circle.

Said the BMPM staff to the Bayan Patrollers, "Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo at patuloy po sana kayong maging mga Patroller ng Bayan!"
