Napoles sick; leaves court hearing
MANILA - Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles was allowed to leave a Sandiganbayan hearing after her lawyer told the court that she has fever.
The court summoned the Sandiganbayan doctor and nurse who took Napoles's temperature.
After registering a temp of 37.73 degrees Celsius, Napoles was allowed to go back to her jail in Taguig.
Napoles lawyer Stephen David also told media in ambush interview that Napoles' current jail in Taguig is less comfortable.
"Mas mainit," he said.
Napoles went to the Sandiganbayan for the continuation of her bail hearing. The prosecution presented again Department of Budget and Management Director Carmencita Delantar who continued her testimony on nine special allotment release orders as requested by the Office of Senator Enrile in connection with pork barrel scam.
During the hearing, Delantar was asked by the defense if Napoles coordinated directly with her.
She said that it was her first time to see Napoles who was present inside the courtroom.
