Bad weather delays vote on CJ shortlist
MANILA, Philippines - The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) postponed Wednesdy its deliberations and voting on the Chief Justice short list due to the continuing bad weather.
This was confirmed to ABS-CBN News by JBC member Atty Jose Mejia.
This is the 3rd time for the council to postpone the voting.
It was supposed to vote on the short list last July 30 later moved to August 2 and then again moved to August 6.
Work in the Supreme Court and all lower courts in Metro Manila, including the Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, and Court of Tax Appeals, is suspended Wednesday due to the continuing inclement weather and several flooded areas.
For courts outside of the National Capital Region, it will be up to the discretion of the executive judges whether or not to suspend work.
