MANILA - Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin urged other fugitives on the country's most wanted list to surrender, warning them that there will be no letup in efforts to find them.

"For the other fugitives, I suggest you already return to the folds of law. We will not stop from locating your whereabouts," he said.

Retired Maj. Gen. Jovito Palparan, one of the five most wanted in the country, was arrested at a residential area in Sta. Mesa, Manila on early Tuesday.

Palparan, wanted for the disappearance of UP students Karen Empeño and Sherlyn Cadapan, has been hiding from the law for several years.

Palparan, former Palawan Governor Joel Reyes and his brother, former Coron Mayor Mario Reyes, former Dinagat Island Representative Ruben Ecleo Jr. had a bounty of P2 million each.

Globe Asiatique developer Delfin Lee was also one of the Big 5, but was already arrested.

Gazmin said he has no details yet on the release of the bounty.

He also assured Palparan will be given his time in court.

"We will give him due process. Kung kailangan nya magpagamot, ipagagamot natin."
