Palace to Napoles: Surrender
MANILA - Malacañang urged businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the mastermind in the alleged pork barrel scam, to surrender and face the charges against her.
"The President has a favorite statement-that if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear," deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte told reporters.
Valte asked the public to give information on Napoles' whereabouts and warned that those harboring Napoles may also be held liable.
"If you have information, the NBI and the PNP and the DOJ would be very happy to hear from you," she said.
Asked how different Napoles' evasion is from that of former Senator Panfilo Lacson, Valte said, "That warrant was withdrawn because the case filed against former Senator Lacson was dismissed."
