Butt job victim is 'reformed'
MANILA - Singer Selina Sevilla, the victim of a faulty butt augmentation operation, has had her butt reformed, and she now realizes that beauty is only skin deep.
Sevilla underwent medical treatment to remove the silicone oil injected in her rear, which had caused large and ugly bruise-like wounds on her behind.
The faulty cosmetic operation, which she claimed was carried out by Reynaldo Eugenio, caused her rear to develop necrosis or the premature death of cells.
Sevilla said she recently went “under the knife” to prevent the infection from spreading.
“’Yun ang pinakamahalaga, natanggal na yung bulok na laman para ‘di na kumalat,” she said.
Sevilla could not hide her frustration over the injury and trauma it has caused.
The singer also encouraged other victims of faulty cosmetic operations to have themselves checked to prevent them from suffering the same ordeal.
She also maintained that it was indeed Eugenio who did the butt augmentation procedure on her behind in 1998.
Sevilla said she will not withdraw the case against the “doctor” who threatened to sue her for libel.
Ang importante nakasurvive ako, wala na ‘yung silicone oil and I know I speak the truth,” she said.
Eugenio's counsel, Enrique de la Cruz, earlier said they were considering filing a libel case against Sevilla. He alleged it was Dr. Manuel Alinas who conducted the medical procedure, not his client.
