Robredo aide still under observation
MANILA, Philippines - Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas said the aide of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo is still under neurological observation by doctors after losing consciousness yesterday.
Roxas said P/Senior Insp. Jun Abrazado sustained a few injuries and “none visibly serious.”
President Benigno Aquino III went to visit Abrazado on Sunday morning at a hospital in Masbate. Aquino, along with other Cabinet officials, is currently in the area to oversee the search and rescue operations for Robredo and the pilots of the Piper Seneca that crashed late Saturday afternoon.
Roxas also revealed that Abrazado is a new father. His child is just nine days old.
After being rescued, Abrazado went back to help search for his boss. Doctors, however, asked him to undergo medical observation after complaining of pains on his back and arms.
