Aquinos commemorate Ninoy's death anniversary
MANILA, Philippines - Members of the Aquino family led by Ballsy-Aquino Cruz, Viel Aquino Dee, Pinky Aquino Abellada and Kris Aquino gathered at the Manila Memorial Park on Tuesday morning to commemorate former Senator Ninoy Aquino's 29th death anniversary.
In an interview, Ballsy Cruz said she continues to pray for her father's guidance.
She also said they offered prayers for Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, his family, as well as the families of the 2 pilots who were killed in a plane crash Saturday afternoon.
"Napakalungkot na araw nga. But then again, we cannot question God's ways.
The eldest of the Aquino siblings said she was never close to Robredo but remembers how her mother Former President Corazon Aquino admired Robredo.
"Napakabait, napakasipag at kita naman natin he's really such a humble man at lahat ng mga nagsasabi nakikita naman the way he lived pati kanyang mga pamilya, very simple.
President Benigno Aquino skipped the family's commemoration of their father at the Manila Memorial Park.
Ballsy explained that her brother decided to fly to Masbate to personally attend to the transporation of Robredo's remains to Naga City.
