Arrest warrant out vs former PNP chief Razon, 32 others
MANILA – The Sandiganabayan on Wednesday released warrants of arrest against former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Avelino Razon Jr. and 32 others for graft and malversation charges.
Sandiganbayan 4th Division clerk of court Joffre Zapata said the resolution on the case involving the allegedly anomalous repairs of V150 light armored vehicles amounting to more than P400 million in 2007 was finished Tuesday.
Among the 32 police officers and private individuals ordered arrested were former PNP comptrollers Geary Barias and Eliseo dela Paz.
The anti-graft court recommended no bail for the malversation case for the principal accused.
The Office of the Ombudsman earlier affirmed the indictment of Razon for the malverastion charges. – report from Johnson Manabat, dzMM
