PNoy proclaims Sept 10 a holiday
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - Malacañang has declared September 10, Friday, a regular holiday.
President Benigno Aquino on Friday proclaimed Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, a holiday.
This makes the next weekend, September 10-12, a 3-day holiday.
Republic Act No. 9177, signed into law in November 2002 during the Arroyo presidency, declares the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar, a national holiday for the observance of Eidul Fitr.
"Eidul Fitr is the first day marking the end of the thirty (30)-day fasting period of Ramadhan," said RA 9177.
Eidul Fitr day depends on the Islamic calendar.
RA 9177 says "the approximate date of these Islamic holidays may be determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is possible or convenient."-- with a report from Ruby Tayag, radio DZMM

Aquino is right
Kung tutuusin tama naman ang ginawa ng pangulo! kahit na oo last day of ramadan is thursday mas maiigi na rin un atlis ang mga bata na nagaaral eh makapagpahinga ng ayus at diretso! kunwari pa kaung mga nagrereak jan! isa pa kung maari lang eh wag nyo naman sulungatin ang desisyon ng pangulo kaya hindi magkasundo mga tao jan sa pinas eh kau kau na lng din ang magkakasama kau kau pa ang nagsisiraan ok!!! Aquino is right if president not respecting islam he will not give holiday for the eid think about that ok! bakit sa pinas lang makakakita ng ganyan ok!!!

Celebrate it's a holiday
To me I don't care what religion is my neighboor's as long as he's respecting mine we'll get along just fine.
As for many religion, most have one thing in common, the respect for human life.
From what I know Muslims believe he's salvation is through he's deeds, he will be judge by it. That is your salvation is in your hands.
To the Christians salvation comes from Christ, paradise lost paradise gained.

A Day to Remember the Crescent Moon In Malaysia & Singapore
This is a good day to remember the crescent moon in the flags of Malaysia and Singapore. All Filipinos should be like them. Remember how Christianity destroys you:
1) The Catholic Church suppresses birth control and overpopulates the world, leading to poverty. Singaporeans are content with 0 to 2 children. They are a first-world country
2) If Christianity diminished in the Philippines, civil war will diminish and investments will increase
3) Europeans and Americans visit Thailand for its Buddhist Temples. Europeans have already converted their Christian churches to bars and cafes like the ones in Singapore. Philippine tourism does not benefit from Catholic churches.
4) The Philippines needs to be more disciplined. It also needs the death penalty. Sharia law would probably be beneficial for Malay Filipinos, at least on a small scale or temporarily. Malaysian Malays are more respected worldwide than Filipino Malays for a reason.
5) While Islam is not the best religion, it tames Malays better than Christianity. While Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism are better religions, they are for more disciplined people. Europeans already abandoned Christianity since the Age of Enlightenment, and America bans prayer in schools for a reason.
This is what Rizal wanted and died for. That's why he wrote the Noli and Fili.
No religion is perfect.
No religion is perfect. Christianity has its own flaws but so does Islam and other faiths.
But religion unites everyone and makes each flock a community. Perhaps that is the best asset of religion. To unite people under a common faith.
