UNA to PNoy: Remove Cabinet secretaries feigning innocence
MANILA - United Nationalist Alliance secretary general Toby Tiangco blasted Cabinet secretaries, specifically Budget Secretary Butch Abad, for allegedly feigning innocence on the pork barrel scam.
He asked President Benigno Aquino III not to spare his allies.
He said it is imperative upon Aquino to castigate members of his official family found guilty in the controversy.
He said it is the implementing agency that pays for the projects.
And the funds would not be released without DBM's approval," Tiangco noted.
He asked Abad to explain why supposedly bogus nongovernment organizations continued to receive public funds during the time of Aquino.
He said Abad cannot just claim innocence on the multi-billion peso releases to the 82 questionable NGOs identified by the Commission on Audit (CoA) until 2012.
