Zamora: File cases against Napoles immediately
MANILA - House Minority Leader Ronaldo Zamora on Wednesday urged the government to speed up the filing of cases against Janet Lim Napoles in connection with the pork barrel scam.
Zamora said the filing of cases is taking too long.
"[The government] can't show seriousness if it is taking a whole lot of time to build a case," he said.
Zamora said he doesn't mind if government cuts a deal with Napoles if that means building a strong case against others involved in the scam.
Napoles was arrested last week on a serious illegal detention charge filed by whistleblower Benhur Luy.
No cases have been filed in relation to the pork barrel scam.
