Singson set to be arraigned before HK court
MANILA, Philippines - Ilocor Sur Rep. Ronald Singson’s arraignment has been set at 9 a.m. today in connection with his illegal drugs case.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Singson said his lawyers have given him options as to how they would present the case before the Hong Kong District Court.
The son of Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson was arrested upon arrival at the Chek Lap Kok International Airport on July 11. About 26.1 grams of cocaine and 2 tablets of diazepam were found in his possession.
After undergoing tests, police authorities there found out that the weight of the pure cocaine was 6.7 grams.
He is now out on bail after paying the HK$2 million (about P12 million) bond.
“We have one final meeting…before the hearing. Binibigyan nila ako ng options. Ready ako for anything: worst case, best case scenario. But I’m at the mercy of the judge now,” he said.
He expects the HK justice system will be objective.
If the lawmaker enters a guilty plea, he will face 3 to 8 years in jail. He will also be fined HK$500,000 (P2.8 million).
If he enters a not guilty plea and the court later finds out the opposite, he will face a minimum of 3 years up to a lifetime in jail. He will also be directed to pay HK$5 million (P28.6 million).
Singson admits the case has changed a lot in him.
His mother, who has just left before the interview took place, has told him to finally change for the good. – with reports from Nadia Trinidad, ABS-CBN News

"To Finally Change for the Good" What? And all along, he has been taking his constituents for a ride. I certainly hope that he gets the maximum sentence in Hong Kong, and life term would be better. One less corrupt politician to worry about in the Philippines. This would be a good start in cleaning up the government of the Philippines of corrupt people like Rep Ronald Singson.
He dishonored his constituents, he dishonored his country, he knowingly violated the laws of another nation, as a lawmaker he should know what illegal drugs are and what damage they can do to a society, and lastly as a son, he dishonored his mother.
Put him in jail for life and if his father says again he was setup, put his father in jail too for insinuating that the justice system in Hong Kong can’t be trusted.

Please help the Filipino people.
Convict Ronald Singson, the son of Chavit Singson, a political warlord, crime lord, drug lord, gambling lord and impeachment lord.
May the HK Lady Judge hear this request, let Ronald Singson, the drug dealer rot in jail.

Its because of political families like the Singsons, is one of the reasons why we our country is in bananas. HK and Chinese justice and is swift and objective. They will judge Singson on merits and not on current international issues. While a lot of Filipinos wish that Singson be allowed to rot in the Stanley Maximum Security Prison for the rest of his natural life in partial exchange for the lives of the HK Tourists that died in our country, this will not happen as HK Judicial System is not compromised, corrupt and inept unlike in the Philippines.
Singson's mother said, "magbago ka na". Eh kung yung ama, ganun pa rin umasta, bakit magbabago anak. Ang criminal, pag nahuli, daig pa angel pag humarap sa taong bayan. I hope Hong Kong justice will get political just this once and let Singson languish in Jail for the rest of his life.
Congressman Singson is only one of dozens of corrupt, inept, ignorant Representatives in our Congress (not including being a warlord). Imagine, the father, Chavit, is praying on his knees for his son's case. Chavit, with all his sins to God, is praying on his knees. But God is good and just and kind and God listens to all, sinners and saints.
Again, let Singson rot in Jail in HK. China will help the Philippines more by doing this as mababawasan ang mga Pasaway.
Pnoy does not need people like this in his country at pandagdag lang eto sa mga problema nya.
COMMUNIST PUNISHMENT
Chavit and Ronald Singson thought they can play their corruption with the Hong Kong justice system, THEY ARE DEAD WRONG.
This is our chance to see if there is also a corruption in the communist justice of China like our justice department Raul Gonzales, state prosecutor Resado, Ombudsmen Gutierrez and Gonzales, III.
I bet Ronald will plead guilty because its true he is GUILTY.
The Singsons cannot fool the Filipinos of their "Worst and Best Scenarios", they are GUILTY for being drug dealers.

If the Hong Kong government is serious about fighting drug trafficking, this is a right time to set an example. Let this guy rot in your jail or sentence him to death. Then, we will believe that nobody is above the law in your country.

I think the HK justice will decide on the merits of the case, in reaction to his mother's comment,"to finally change for the good" I think his Mother knows best, & we ALL need a wake-up call.
