MANILA -- The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) has announced the suspension of classes in all levels in Metro Manila and Rizal Province on Monday and Tuesday following the extensive damage inflicted by Tropical Storm "Ondoy".
In a report by dzMM, NDCC chairman and National Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro has announced that there will be no classes in elementary, high school and college level in the said areas to give way to the rescue and relief operations.
Teodoro said that provincial governments not covered by the announcements are given discretion to decide if classes will go on in their jurisdiction.
