Ex-AFP chief Dellosa is new BOC deputy commissioner
MANILA -- President Benigno Aquino III has appointed former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief-of-staff Jessie Dellosa as the new deputy commissioner for the Bureau of Customs (BOC) intelligence group, replacing Danny Lim who resigned last month.
Dellosa's appointment was announced by deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte in an interview with state-run Radyo ng Bayan on Saturday morning.
Valte said the President has also signed the appointment of four other new deputy commissioners for the BOC:
- Primo Aguas: deputy commissioner for management information system and technology group
- Agaton Teodoro Uvero: deputy commissioner for assessment and operations coordinating group
- Department of Budget and Management (DBM) director Myrna Chua: deputy commissioner for internal administration group
- Department of Finance (DOF) Assistant Secretary Editha Tan: deputy commissioner for revenue collection
The Palace also announced the renewal of terms of certain officials of government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) whose terms automatically expire after a year. -- Report from Zander Ochona, dzMM
