Will Loren stay with Chiz in NPC?
MANILA - Five presidential aspirants are reportedly courting Senator Loren Legarda to be their running mate.
Legarda said three of the five have already personally talked with her, while the two others sent emissaries.
Legarda, who lost by a slim margin to Vice-President Noli de Castro in the 2004 elections, declined to name these five aspirants.
But according to an ABS-CBN News source, former President Joseph Estrada, Senator Francis Escudero, and Senator Richard Gordon have already talked with Legarda about forming a tandem for the 2010 elections.
The two who sent emissaries were Nacionalista Party (NP) presidential aspirant Manny Villar and the administration candidate, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro.
Legarda is one of the strong aspirants in the vice-presidential race. She was second in the February 2009 survey of Pulse Asia on vice-presidential preferences next to Escudero.
When pressed to disclose her political plans, Legarda said the odds are she and Senator Escudero will not part ways since they are both party mates in the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC).
Legarda said she will soon decide and declare in the next few days which position she will seek in 2010.
She said Escudero will likely make his declaration on October 12, Monday, after his 40th birthday on Saturday.
When asked if her birthday gift to Escudero will be her endorsement for him to run for president, Legarda just smiled.
Although she has not yet decided whether to run for president or vice-president, Legarda said what she is sure of is, "I will run to win." -- report from Maricar Bautista, ABS-CBN News

Loren the Drama Queen
The reason is very clear why Loren is dilly-dallying in sticking it out with the NPC. She lost to Chiz Escudero in the contest for the party's nomination as standard-bearer. She is so bitter about it and is now mulling a sour-grape scenario. She stayed with the NPC when she longed for the sweet nomination. When she couldn't get it she now plans to abandon the party that bear the sweet she was longing for.
I suggest to Loren to just go back to ABS-CBN. She is better off as a drama actress than a national leader, what with those tears she sheds in Congress everytime.

as always, she's a POLITICAL BUTTERFLY! she's just there during good times, but in times when the political party she's in is sinking, automatically, she jumps into another party..... WALANG PANININDIGAN!

Ako'y isa ring bicolano at naniniwala akong may karapatan at kakayahan c chiz na maging pangulo ng bansa. Ngunit mas malakas ang paniniwala ko na di pa panahon ni chiz ngayon at mas malakas ang tiwala ng taumbayan, marahil hindi sa mas superior na kakayahan ni noynoy sa pagpapaangat ng kaunlaran ng Pilipinas, kundi sa mas makatotohanan niyang adhikain na paglipul sa kurapsiyon at pag-aabuso sa kapangyarihan ng mga naglilingkod sa bayan. Sana magtulong-tulong na lang ang oposisyun sa adhikaing ito dahil aanhin naman natin ang sobra-sobrang kaunlaran kung puno-puno naman tayo ng mga magnanakaw at abusado sa pamahalaan.
Kay loren, hanggang ngayon nalilito pa rin ako kung saan ba talaga siya patungo. Para sa bayan ba o para sa kanyang sarili?

For lauren, please lang...yung pagtatagalog mo ay di ko maintindihan kung san papunta......kaya di ka manalo kay kabayan. Halatang trying hard kayo.......You all know that you do not stand a chance kila NOYNOY. Kahit na you'll give it all you've got. Itulong nyo na lang sa ONDOY victims yang 2 billion pesos nyong pang-kampanya. Di mo na mababawi yung natalo mo last time. Tumulong na lang kayo.
