Palace also awaits Napoles' testimony
MANILA - Like many citizens, Malacanang is also awaiting the testimony of Janet Lim Napoles before the Senate Ribbon Committee scheduled on November 7.
Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Herminio Coloma, Jr. said they are taking a wait-and-see stance on what Napoles will say.
"Ang overall focus ay tungkol sa accountability for the use of public funds. Conversely, mapanagot ang naglustay nito. Wala pa kaming partikular na focus," said Coloma.
In a recent Pulse Asia Survey, 77% of respondents believe at least 50% of the budget for pork barrel goes to corruption.
Coloma said the Aquino administration is one with the public in seeking accountability of public funds.
He said those behind the pork barrel anomalies will be prosecuted.
