PNoy in Australia for state visit
MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III arrived in Canberra, Australia Tuesday night (Manila time), marking the start of his state visit to Australia.
Aquino is scheduled to meet Australia's Governor-General Quentin Bryce and Prime Minister Julia Gillard tomorrow.
The President is also expected to unveil a statue of Dr. Jose Rizal and meet with the members of the Filipino community in Campbelltown, Sydney.
The President is expected to leave Australia on Friday.
Prior to his state visit to Australia, Aquino visited New Zealand, where we was welcomed by Minister of Customs Maurice Williamson and New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Reuben Levermore.
He was accompanied by 96 delegates, including Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory L. Domingo, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, NEDA chief Arsenio Balisacan, Defense Secretary Voltaire T.
