MAP raises P400,000 for pork scam whistle-blowers
MANILA - The Management Association of the Philippines has raised P400,000 since it launched a fund to support the whistle-blowers involved in the pork barrel scam.
The list also includes Atty. Levi Baligod, counsel of some of the whistle-blowers.
MAP President Melito Salazar Jr. said MAP members have been asked to donate to a specific whistle-blower, which will be used to support whistle-blowers while the trial is ongoing.
He said he is confident they will be able to raise a million pesos or more by year-end.
When asked what happens if Janet Napoles will also become a whistle-blower, Salazar said she would probably not need financial support as she already has the means.
The group is also raising funds for the victims of the earthquake in Bohol and Cebu. So far, it has raised around P300,000.
