UK, Australia issue travel advisories to Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - The governments of the United Kingdom and Australia have issued separate advisories to their citizens discouraging travel to the Philippines, citing "imminent terrorist attacks."
"There is a high threat from terrorism throughout the Philippines. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers. Such places could include, but are not limited to, airports, shopping malls, places of worship etc," the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office said on its website.
The Australian Foreign Affairs and Trade Office echoed the warning. "We continue to receive credible reports indicating terrorists are planning attacks against a range of targets in a variety of locations, including places frequented by foreigners... such as large shopping malls and convention centres."
Both emphasized that the threats could occur anywhere, including in Manila. They also retained the travel ban to south west Mindanao where there have been attacks against civilian targets, including foreigners.
Malacañang, however, allayed fears saying there was no specific information on the supposed terror attacks.

Whats New?
The UK, Australia and the US at least once a year issue travel advisories.
They should have warning about the taxi drivers here. More chance of getting injured then with a terrorist attack.
