UP Diliman grad tops chemical engineering licensure exam

A graduate of University of the Philippines-Diliman has topped the Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Chemical Engineering in the cities of Manila and Cebu earlier this month.

Dennis Cristoffer Babista Tagaza of UP Diliman topped the exam with a score of 85.30 percent, followed by Fabrienne Michelle Denoyo Yu of University of San Carlos with a score of 85 percent.

Jernel Dalisay Pateña of UP Los Baños placed third in the exam with a score of 83.80 percent.

Six of the graduates in the top 10 list are from UP Diliman, two are from UP Los Baños, two are from University of San Carlos and one graduated from Bicol University - Legazpi. Two graduates tied for ninth place.

The complete top 10 are as follows:

The PRC said 308 out of 577 examinees passed the licensure exam conducted by the Board of Chemical Engineering. The members of the Board are Engineer Ofelia V. Bulaong, Chairman; Engineer Francisco A. Arellano and Engineer Jeffrey G. Mijares.
