Party finds Gibo a running mate

MANILA - The administration Lakas-Kampi Christian Muslim Democrats has chosen a running mate for presidential candidate Gilbert Teodoro but held off announcing the selection until November 15, a top party member official revealed Thursday.

Rey Roquero, the party's executive director, said the Lakas-Kampi CMD vice-presidential bet will be named during the party's national convention on November 15, two weeks before the deadline for the filing of certificate of candidacy for the 2010 elections.

Roquero's revelation came amid speculations that the Lakas-Kampi-CMD's is already running out of choices for Teodoro's running mate. This, after actor Edu Manzano, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. and Senator Miguel Zubiri turned down the ruling party's offers.

Zubiri said he rejected the offer because he is swamped with work in the Senate. He said the burden of steering the legislative body to pass the 2010 budget falls on his shoulders. “I’m the majority floor leader. I cannot abandon my post,” he said.

Moreover, he said he is not ready "emotionally and financially" to run for vice-president.

Revilla, whose party mates in Lakas-Kampi-CMD are banking on his capacity to bring votes from Cavite, Rizal and Nueva Ecija, opted to vie for re-election in 2010 instead.

“I’m not prepared. After a series of consultations, I believe...that I can more effectively serve the country as a senator," Revilla said in a statement.

Manzano, meanwhile, has become unavailable as running mate of Teodoro as he is set to join the senatorial ticket of the Liberal Party (LP), which is fielding Senators Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III for president and Manual 'Mar' Roxas II for vice president.

Manzano was scheduled to take his oath as member of the LP on Thursday, but this has been postponed.

On Tuesday, Lakas-Kampi-CMD senior vice-president for membership, former Rep. Prospero Pichay said Revilla and Manzano were among those being eyed by the administration party to become Teodoro's running mate.

Pichay said former Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III is also being considered as Teodoro's running mate.

Aside from the two actor-politicians and Zubiri, Interior Secretary Ronaldo Puno was also supposed to become Teodoro's running mate, but backed out from the vice-presidential race.

Sen. Loren Legarda was also being wooed by the ruling party, but the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) leadership has apparently abandoned coalition talks with the Lakas-Kampi-CMD.

Roquero reiterated that they are not the only party having difficulties in fielding a vice-presidential candidate.

He said Sen. Manuel Villar of the Nacionalista Party and Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who had recently bolted NPC, have also yet to choose their running mates.

SEARCH FOR A LEADER!

Guys we need to be specific we have only 2 opposition candidates that can fight for present admin right? We cannot afford to say na bahala na si Batman! We cannot afford to be rich one day and die tomorrow! We need to live life to the fullest. We need to know the real meaning of this! We need to give the importance of it; we need to be worth of dying for: this for our nation and to the next generation, for God sake we need to be responsible of our own country. We cannot afford to dream that one day the moon lies into our hand! We need to be specific and wise. Please don’t say O kay Bayani nalang ako< o sabihin natin ayaw ko sa sikat! Hindi po ganun mga kapatid! Lahat po tayo ay may kapintasan din! We are not that perfect to judge anyone of them. but since then, they offer themselves to public service and why not if they can? If you guys here are also thinking that you can offer the same then go for it! We are democratic country and anyone of us can make the difference. But we have to accept the reality that maybe we are not that fortunate or we are not on the same bloodline that Gods gives us. We can make our move and that’s destinys defines for: If we want change to our country we just think all about it? It should come first into our own as an individual and responsible citizen! We need to support anyone in the office who’s capable to lead us into good governance! Aspire us for hope and change and bring back the glory of our nation through integrity and decency of transparency to govern. It is Leadership and managerial competence for Presidency right? And anyone can make it! - Anyone of you can say that he or she is the best and you are not?
Now what you think?
Gibo/ Edu- he is not serious to stop corruptions there is nothing from him but to follow the footstep of Gloria and the present situation of our countries as well. Edu- can offer nothing for the higher posts I think he is only forced by some offer to uplift the shame that felt by Teodoro?
Villar/Loren-he is allegedly involved in c5 scandal and even once he is not serious to offer himself to present any investigation but simply deny out of it! Did you think he invest millions for us out of nothing? Wow! He is a businessman my dear brothers right? Loren- Miss Loren answers first some issues around her and between Mr. Villar- Miss Loren is the one who push the ouster of Mr. Villar in the Senate chair due to c-5 anomaly and until now the Senate committee not yet finish the report and even once Mr. Villar not show himself in the investigation. If she go w/ Villar para niyang sinabitan ng bato ang kanyang leeg! At isusuka na siya ng mga mamayang Pilipino.
Erap/ Binay- he is already in presidency but he has nothing to prove except of being an ex-convict and gambling lord. Yeah! Maybe he is a good man but that’s character not enough to lead this country. Binay- he has a good track record as local executive like Mr. Bayani I support for him personally but the question is? Is he a winnable candidate? So he need to show his platform to convinced us and we will judge him soon if Erap will not be disqualified.
Chiz- He is not too sure and looks desperate of his moves towards independent and I think it’s not time for him to the higher posts. Maybe soon and we will see it how he can stay his principles. Ebdane- oh no I do not think so!
Bayani Fernando- well, he has a good track records as local executive but he is not winnable candidate and he is partly involved of present admin, so I am doubtful of him to be serious to stop corruptions in which we heard he has also partly involved sa suhulan in MMFF controversy.
So there is nothing can stay it closes to my choice! I will choose for Noy/Mar- and I challenge you all out here to express your sentiments against Noy/Mar- and I answer you all one by one word for word! And if anyone of you can give me enough reason for your Presidential choice I will go with you! Otherwise, fight me word for word to a debate to install a good one for hope and change of our nation!
Peace....

For it is Gods will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. 1 PETER 2:15

PUBLIC SERVICE,24 HRS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK

Celebrities need to stop tv shows appreance after they file their candidacy. If they win the elections, they are suppose to be focus to public service 24 hours,7 days a week.Don't vote to all senators like bong revilla, jinggoy estrada, and lito lapid. They can still do some movies, even though our country in a tough situation. The only celebrity who give up his shows appearance is tito sotto lll.He gave up to run a senator for fpj campaign.Because of erap's political cronies,he loss his chance to run for senator.Estrada used fpj popularity to exchange for his pardon. He wants jinggoy to be senator and he dont care anyone in his party.Jinggoy tried to use some famous celebrities, and he's pretending to be nice and friendly with them.He was a corrupted senator and accepted money from a jueteng lord.DON'T VOTE REVILLA,JINGGOY AND LITO LAPID.
