MANILA, Philippines - Ang Galing Pinoy party-list Rep. Juan Miguel "Mikey" Arroyo will fly to the United States Thursday night.

He is expected to be on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 104 bound for San Francisco departing at 10:30 p.m.

"San [Francisco] and Los Angeles only. My travel permit is up to the 7th of December but I will come home as soon as I'm done with the meeting," Arroyo said.

The party-list lawmaker and son of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said he will meet several groups who have committed to help Ang Galing Pinoy with expenses related to health care.

He will also join Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda and the Pampanga mayors in attending several Kapampangan affairs.

Arroyo topped the list of absentee congressmen as of June 2011, with more absences than boxing superstar and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

Based on records from the chamber’s Office of the Secretary General,  Arroyo failed to attend 32 out of the 70 sessions of the chamber.

Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo, Mikey’s uncle, placed third with 27 absences.

Pacquiao and Negros Occidental Rep. Jules Ledesma both came in at fourth place with 26 absences.
