Osmeña bolts LP senatorial ticket
MANILA - Former Senator Sergio “Serge” Osmeña III has bolted the senatorial slate of the Liberal Party (LP) for the 2010 elections reportedly due to a disagreement over the party’s choice to include as members some key people from the Arroyo administration.
Osmeña, who is a member of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), was included in LP’s senatorial slate for the 2010 elections as announced by its leaders Monday.
According to a reliable source, Osmeña disagreed with the LP decision to include former Senator Ralph Recto and his wife Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto in the party.
Recto was also included in LP’s senatorial slate.
The source said that Osmeña did not want be part of a slate that would endorse a former member of the Arroyo administration such as Recto.
Before joining the LP, Recto was a leader of Lakas-Kampi-CMD, and before the merger, he was a member of Lakas-NUCD. He also ran under the administration coalition of President Arroyo in his unsuccessful bid for reelection in 2007. He was socioeconomic planning secretary in the Arroyo administration from mid-2008 until he resigned last August to prepare for another Senate run.
The source said that Osmeña cited that Recto, when he was a member of the Arroyo administration, did not oppose the wrong policies of the president.
Osmeña also reportedly took issue to the fact the Recto had a big role when he was a senator in the enactment of the Expanded Value-Added Tax (E-VAT) Law. Osmeña reportedly said that the E-VAT is a big burden to the Filipino people.
Osmeña said that Recto’s positions were contradictory to the new politics and reforms that are being espoused by the LP tandem of Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas.
Osmeña was the campaign manager of the Genuine Opposition during the 2007 elections.
Meanwhile LP vice president Butch Abad said the leaders of the party were discussing the issues raised by Osmeña possibly to convince the former senator to return.
Aside from Osmeña and Recto, the partial senatorial line-up announced on Monday by the LP included detained Brigadier General Danilo Lim, former Senator Franklin Drilon, Congressmen Rozzano "Ruffy" Biazon, Teofisto "TG" Guingona III and Akbayan Rep. Ana Theresia Hontiveros-Baraquel, former Congressman Nereus Acosta, and Sonia Roco, widow of the late presidential candidate Raul Roco.
LP had decided to open its senatorial ticket to politicians outside the party calling the slate a "People's Coalition." From a report of Lynda Jumilla, ABS-CBN News

REAL CHANGE/REAL DEAL
Businessmen and corrupted politicians are sabotaging our economy. They can manipulate all the business. They can hide all the OIL SUPPLY,RICE,DRY GOODS and other basic necessities. After a couple of days, the prices will jump high.Poor Filipino people were affected in their daily basis.Chinese knew how to play business in the PHILIPPINES.Create a politicians who can support and protect them.We will not forget the PLDT,PAL,MANILA WATER,SAN MIGUEL and many more. These are some of the company that Filipino people owned and NOW,these company owned by corrupted politician and greedy businessmen. They can easily divert the funds or business money in corporation,so ordinary Filipino can't imagine their illegal transactions. How many smuggling goods now nationwide? They have some more coming,if we did it wrong.Vote for the right candidate, and we will not suffer again. We are the new generation. We will ignite the fire to push our countrymen to fight against poverty.STOP SLAVERY TO OUR COUNTRY.This is the most important election in the PHILIPPINE HISTORY.FILIPINO people will be test ,and how they will react for their future.
BAYANI FERNANDO FOR PRESIDENT- We chose him, because of his views and performance as a leader. We don't have authorization from him to endorse his candidacy, but we the FILIPINO people are looking for a real change.
Only he has proven to be less of a “ talker “ & more of a “ doer ”. He has a good track record to speak of. He gets the job done - one who is willing to risk courting the ire of those who will stand in the way of his instilling discipline, order and progress.
hoy prettyboy!!
di baGAY sina Noynoy at Mar
Thats true!!!!!
Mostly rallyists are in payroll of politicians and businessmen.Businessmen from Makati. They will fire you,if you did not participate in a rally.Filipino people are smart enough knowing advance to all these kind of propaganda. Some people got answer, and some still looking for answer.
In hacienda luisita massacre, rallyist from different towns gave sentiments to all small farmers, who can not fight to those rich and influence politicians and businessmen. How they will fight? They can't even buy foods for their family. If we didn't harvest their small farm, they will not eat.Rallyist felt their hardships in life against to hacienda luisita, until some rallyist died to fight for them. They're not deserved to die. They need justices, and the truth will set us free.
di baGAY sina Noynoy at Mar
Senator Nonoy Aquino is currently leading the survey for Presidential aspirants. This is good for him and his associates but is it good for Filipino people?
First, he has to solve the Hacienda Luisita issues, that for many years farmers are neglected and some are massacared. Until now, no justice has been served for those people who died fighting for their rights.
The other issue is that is he a gay or a women hater? Senator Nonoy Aquino is now 49 years old and until now he has no first lady in case he will win the Presidency.
The Filipino people are anxious to know if Nonoy belong to the third sex. Baka maging beuty parlor ang Malakanyang Palace kung si Nonoy ang maging president.
We need clarification or kung totoo magladlad ka na.

LP - don't dissapoint us.
If we will see LP fail, it will be due to acceptance of administration cabinet officials. Tama si Osmena. I want to vote for the tandem of Aquino and Roxas. But LP has to stop sacrificing their principles just to win. Otherwise, I'll have to find another tandem to vote.
Let me see:
Fernando? No - He was still with and supported Arroyo's party even after the "Hello Garci", Fertilizer, and ZTE scandal. Loren - No. She's an opportunist too because after accusing Villar, she's now joining him with lame excuses. Teodoro/Edu/Villar/Erap/Binay/Ebdane - Definitely NOT. No need to explain and everyone knows why.
I'm still going to be stuck with Aquino and Roxas with Escudeo as an alternative if he will run. I'll just not vote for Recto and other admin officials.
CAMA- COJUANGCO/AQUINO- MACAPAGAL ARROYO
We the Filipino voters need to know who's the real Noynoy Cojuangco Aquino and Gibo Cojuangco Aquino. If Bayani Fernando win,he will investigate the corrruptions and he will give justices to all Hacienda Luisita victims.
The Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway was a flagship project of President Gloria Arroyo, together with the Cojuangco-Aquino family, owners of Hacienda Luisita, and the Lopez family through First Philippine Infrastructure Inc..(CAMA) REAL FAMILY TIED OF COJUANGCO-AQUINO MACAPAGAL-ARROYO.
The Japan Bank and International Corp. funded the project through a special yen loan amounting to P21.393 billion. The state-owned Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) provided P4 billion as counterpart.
Remulla said the issue affects taxpayers because of the loan component. “It's a heavy burden for taxpayers.”
We the FILIPINO people will pay for their socialized loan. These budget are equivalent of all budget for the whole country.Because of Noynoy/Cojuangco- ARROYO,the arroyo administrations put all the money in one project, and the budget supposed to be for the whole country.
