They have until March to submit names of nominees

MANILA - Sixteen party-list organizations on Friday went to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to manifest their intention to participate in the 2010 elections, although 2 of them have yet to be accredited by the poll body.

Of the 16, half are incumbent, with 10 nominees sitting in Congress.

Buhay Hayaang Yumabong (Buhay), who topped the 2007 elections, occupies 3 seats in the House. Five others hold 2 seats each--Anak Minadanao (Amin), Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (Cibac), An Waray, Agricultural Sector Alliance of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP), and Abono.

Two of the incumbent groups were to claim their seats only last April, after the Supreme Court ruling that abolished the 2% threshold required for party-list groups to have a seat in the House. 1-UTAK and ABAKADA were entitled to 1 seat each.

Others who expressed their intention to participate in the 2010 polls are Biyayang Bukid, ABA Ilonggo, Bukid, Ako Bicol (AKB), Alliance of Baranggay Concerns (ABC), Abante Bicol Oragon (ABO Inc.), and Alliance of Volunteer Educators (AVE).

Two groups that are still awaiting Comelec's decision on their accreditation nevertheless went to the poll body to manifest their intention to participate. The Comelec accepted the manifestation by the anti-drug group Ako Ayoko sa Bawal Droga (AKO) and the Alliance of Retired Active Workers (1-ARAW) on the condition that if they are denied accreditation, they would withraw their manifestation.

The poll body has 256 party-list applications to process, but it has yet to come out with a complete list of accredited and rejected groups.

Under Comelec Resolution 8691, the filing of manifestation is open until midnight of December 2. List of nominees of the accredited party-list should be submitted until March 26, 2010. (Newsbreak)

BAYANI FERNANDO AGAINST DO NOTHING CANDIDATES

Mr. Governance…

During his term as a Mayor which starts in 1992, he rapidly transformed Marikina from only a 4th class Municipality to a Philippine model city and was accorded 55 citations for that award making Marikina the destination of choice for foreign investors. In fact Marikina already garnered 200 awards both locally and abroad in just 16 years.
•Widened city streets, installed street lights & constructed U-turn slots in the right places
•Modernized the public market in such a way that it is favorably compared to high-end shopping malls.
•Adopt zero-tolerance for littering. Arrest and penalizes those who improperly throw their garbage
•Able to relocate 30,000 squatter families living along rivers, creeks & in public places. Another thing, not a single house is standing on water for safety reasons.
•Keeping the city streets and sidewalks free of any obstruction by eliminating illegal structures & vendors and offering them a chance to do business legally, in especially designated places, in a market nearby or construct makeshift structures to accommodate them.
•First to ordered the police in adopting " the broken window " policing concept before Mayor Rudy Giuliani of New York City, leading to a clean, peaceful and orderely Marikina city. The police, he made it clear, should not in anyway tolerate vandalism or disorderly conduct or littering. Drunks were promptly thrown in jail until they sobered up; minors were detained and turned over to their parents if they stayed out late in violation of curfew.
•Applying law to a letter without fear or favor to those habitual lawbreakers.

BAYANI FERNANDO AGAINST DO NOTHING CANDIDATES

Several years ago, there was a French Engineer consultant of a World Bank assisted project going to the DPWH main office where Bayani Fernando holding office then, he once said that Bayani is a tough nut to crack. Sometime during the Senate inquiry about NBN / ZTE, it overlapped to the WB assisted projects and Senator Lacson mentioned that Bayani Fernando did not signed the project and probably cost his Public Works portfolio.

POOR FILIPINO VS. COJUANGCO COUNTRY

Businessmen and corrupted politicians are sabotaging our economy and filipino people daily basis. They can manipulate all the business. They can hide all the OIL SUPPLY,RICE,DRY GOODS and other basic necessities. After a couple of days, the prices will jump high.Chinese knew how to play business in the PHILIPPINES.Create a politicians who can support and protect them. They can easily divert the funds or business money in corporation,so ordinary Filipino can't imagine their illegal transactions. How many ilegal goods in the Philippines now? They have some more coming,if we do it wrong.Vote for the right candidate, and we will not suffer again. We are the new generation. We will ignite the fire to push our countrymen to fight against poverty.STOP SLAVERY IN OUR COUNTRY.
BAYANI FERNANDO FOR PRESIDENT
LOREN OR SOTTO FOR VICE PRESIDENT.
