FVR to support bet with 'green mind'
MANILA - The legality of the merger of political parties Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) and Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (Kampi) will still be appealed to the Supreme court (SC), former President Fidel V. Ramos said Monday.
Ramos, who founded Lakas, said he still considers the merger incomplete despite the approval of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), which is why he cannot accept the chairman emeritus position being offered to him by the merged parties.
"I declined the position of Chairman Emeritus of the merged parties. Hindi pa buo 'yan eh," he said.
Ramos said those who initially opposed the merger, led by Pangasinan 2nd Dist. Rep. Jose de Venecia, will bring the case to the SC.
"Pupunta pa sa Supreme Court ang mga petitioners. Petitioners are there," he said.
Absence at convention explained
He also said that his absence at the November 19 party convention, where Gilbert Teodoro and Edu Manzano were officially declared the merged parties' presidential and vice-presidential bets, was not intentional.
Ramos said he was at an international conference on education in Qatar from November 15 to 20.
He also said that he has not yet decided on which presidential candidate to support in the 2010 national elections.
He said those currently eyeing Malacañang are wooing his support, and saying "they're all very good."
When asked about Teodoro, Ramos said, "he's my friend from a long time ago. He participated in the public policy series where he presented," referring to the RPDEV Foundation presidential forum last July.
Ramos said he would support the candidate who would advocate sustainable development and environment-friendly policies, but said he is not implying his support for anyone yet.
"Whoever has a green vision and a green mind. I'm not talking about anybody... it still has to be seen. We better take care of the environment," Ramos said. With a report from RG Cruz, ABS-CBN News

Parang Tom en Jerry ah, kasi may mga pusang humahagad kaya doon sila patutungo sa nakakalbong aso. Aso ng LP, aso ng mga trapo.. Hindi man lang makaramdam na ginagamit lang ang kanyang pangalan para sa kapakanan ng mga talagang nagcocontrol ng LP, pati ng mga trapong palipat lipat, haha.. mga trapo obvious na obvious ang pakay nyo sa LP, at kayo namang botante, magtatanga tangahan din ba kayo?

Sa partido na nya iyan wala siyang say, wala as in kahit standard bearer, wala siyang control kung sinu sino lang ang dapat na umanib na parehas ang adikain sa kanila, eh kahit salungat sa adikain eh basta para sa makinarya sa halalan, sige pasok! CORRUPTION THEN AND NOW
Philippines has been a corrupted country since Manuel L.Quezon up to present.Because of lack of sincerity,the succeeding presidents didn't take any actions to sequester all the corrupted money and properties.Not one of these candidates like,Villar,Noynoy,Gibo,Escudero,or Estrada can take actions.Bayani Fernando,who is implementing the laws,even though it will hurt him in his political campaign.He is more action than promise.Bayani Fernando is the man of "ACTION IS LOUDER THAN VOICE".
