MANILA, Philippines - The multiple murder case filed against Datu Unsay, Maguindanao Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. will be handled by Judge Luisito Cortez of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 84, an ANC report said Tuesday.

The Quezon City Office of the Clerk of Court raffled off the case Tuesday after the Supreme Court granted the Department of Justice's request to transfer the venue of the multiple murder case from Cotabato City to Manila.

Ampatuan Jr. and several John Does are facing at least 25 counts of multiple murder in connection with the massacre of 57 civilians in Ampatuan, Maguindanao last November 23.

A total of 57 innocent civilians, including 30 journalists, were killed last November 23 in an election-related mass killing, the worst in Philippine history.
