SWS: Noynoy, Villar top choices to succeed Arroyo
MANILA, Philippines - Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III and Nacionalista Party (NP) candidate Sen. Manuel Villar topped the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey on the best leaders to succeed President Arroyo in 2010.
The November 4-8, 2009 survey, commissioned by Puerto Princesa City Mayor Edward Hagedorn, found Aquino taking the top spot in the people’s three best leaders to succeed President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in 2010.
The question asked was: “Under the present Constitution, the term of Pres. Arroyo is up to 2010 only, and there will be an election for a new President in May 2010. Who do you think are good leaders who should succeed President Arroyo as President? You may give up to three names."
No list of names was provided to prompt the respondents.
Fifty-nine percent named Aquino and 45% named Villar. Sen. Francis Escudero, who has already backed out of the presidential race, placed third with 27% followed by former president Joseph Estrada at 18%.
Eight percent of respondents chose Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard bearer Gilbert Teodoro, 4% chose Sen. Loren Legarda, 3% chose Sen. Mar Roxas and 3% chose Vice-President Noli de Castro. Two percent gave an unspecified answer, “Aquino”.
Tied at 1 percent each were Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Bro. Eddie Villanueva, and former Marikina Mayor and Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Bayani Fernando.
Villar catches up
The SWS said it disclosed the survey results on Tuesday after getting permission from the sponsor.
Villar's camp actually leaked the survey results last Saturday, and said the results showed that the NP standard-bearer was catching up on Aquino.
From the 23% lead of Aquino in September 2009 (Aquino: 60%; Villar: 37%), the November 2009 survey had Villar cutting the lead to 14% (Aquino: 58%; Villar: 45%).
A total of 1,200 adults were interviewed for the survey, with an error margin of ±3%.

Noynoy is the best
Hoy!! Mark092605 tumigil ka nga dyan. Sino ka bang magsabing unggoy si Noynoy? Tingnan mo muna yung sarili mo at qualifications mo and compare yourself to Noynoy? Sa tingin ko, sa mga sinasabi, mukhang hindi ka highly educated and a gentleman who knows to use the proper words and adjectives.
As we all know, Noynoy’s mother, the late Pres. Cory Aquino had no previous experience whatsoever, both in private and public sector. She was told by Marcos to remain a housewife most particularly in the kitchen. But due to the overwhelming endorsement of the Filipino people for her to run for President, she won and was very much successful in governance. Outpouring of admiration was visibly seen and felt by the Filipinos during her burial, thus the premise of choosing a president based on competence, managerial ability is TOTALLY WRONG. The late Pres. Cory Aquino is an icon not only for democracy but for good and effective governance as well, despite her lack of experience. Noynoy Aquino for sure has the same qualities inherited from his parents. LET'S GO FOR NOYNOY AQUINO FOR PRESIDENT.

Noynoy for President
We Filipinos should think of our children's future,we should vote for president who is morally right, who has the integrity to lead our nation move and develop. I can only think of Noynoy who has the integrity to lead us and make us responsible citizens. We are country who got all the potential to grow but because of inept political leaders such as GMA , we lost those opportunities. Our industries are on the decline, we are not importing a lot of raw materials,that is one reason why we got a lot people of going out to work as OFW's.
The only bright spot is the "BPO" Call Centers and Engineering Design Centers ( The Philippines is now the based for most of the big names in Engineering consulting firms in the world) because we are the leader in knlowledge workers.
If we do this right this coming May 2010, I believe we can still catch up with other nations around us.
Manny Villar a Trapo Presidential Candidate
I hope you guys really know Manny Villar.He is helping the distressed OFW's because he like to get OFW's votes including their family back home. When did he started to do this only last 2008 onwards ! what a pathetic way of showing of being a trapo. He is spending billions of pesos from his own pocket. Remember he is a businessman, and if he will become our president surely he is going to get back his investment + interest. We will find later on that most of our idle public lands have been titled to companies own by Manny Vilar aside from contracts that will be favourably awarded to his family and friends.
Two years ago, his company bought large tract of rice fields along the highway of Baliuag Bulacan for development of " PROMINENZA" a high end housing development ( This is now known as Camella )after getting an advance information that SM Baliaug will be constructed adjacent to the tract of lands he intend to develop. As I heard,the farmers were promised something which Manny Villar's men did not complete the end of bargaining arrangement.
I dont how an agricultural land can just be converted to high end subdivision and getting approval from authorities. I thought we had law on the conversion of agricultural land to housing.
If Manny Villar people can do the trick in deceiving the farmers to sell their lands at price below what has been agreed then he can do the same when he is our president. This the same scheme he used in C-5 Road Anomaly, but in that it is the whole nation, the tax payer's. The good thing for him, his cohorts of senators declared him innocent because they are the SAME AGAIN, the senators are getting, 200 Million pesos of CDF"Pork Barrel" a year, which should have been used for our public schools.

Katulad ng ginagawa ni Manny Villar na Livelihood Program kung saan nabibigyan ng puhunan at natuturuan mag negosyo ang mga tao. Kung gusto mo umunlad Mag SIPAG ka.. hindi ung aasa ka sa iba.. Hindi obligasyon ng presidente na pakainin tayong lahat.

Sa mga nagsasabing maraming natutulungan si Manny Villar? Tumingin kayo sa paligid niyo. Kung laking tondo siya bakit maraming mahihirap pa rin sa tondo? iyong mga pabahay niya hindi naman para sa mga mahihirap kundi sa mga mayayaman...Pinuputol ang mga kahoy at pinapatag ang mga bundok para gawin niyang subdivision.

Nkapag pasa na sya ng '67' Batas compared to NOYNOY na '3' lng.. marami na syang napagawang mga projects(kahit pa sabihin nyo mejo nakinabang ang business nya) na kapakipakinabang naman sa mga milyong pilipino. sa dami nyang project maiisip nyo pa bang mag maibubulsa sya? gayong 6Million lng ang tinatangap na pork barrel ng senador sa loob ng isang taon. kung nkokontian kayo sa mga accomplishments nya.. pano pa kaya ang iba?
