PNoy shrugs off critics' name-calling
MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino on Thursday shrugged off the verbal abuse he has been receiving from his critics.
In a speech before a religious evangelical group at the Palace, Aquino said he is on the right track in running after the past administration for alleged misdeeds.
"Natawag na po tayo ng kung ano-anong pangalan," he said. "Ngunit sa kabila nito, konsensya pa rin po ang magtitimon sa akin. Sa harap ng salamin at sa harap ng Diyos, masasabi ko pong hindi kailanman nabahiran ng pansariling interes ang aking mga hangarin."
He added that his conscience is clear.
The President reiterated it was nothing personal, but that it had to take another swipe at the targets of his anti-corruption campaign.
"Ginagawa ko lang po ang sinumpaan kong tungkulin sa aking mga boss, ang mga Pilipino. Kung may ilan man pong sumasama ang loob sa ating mga hakbang at binitiwang salita, mawalang-galang na po pero baka naman po meron talaga silang kasalanan at hinahabol na sila ng kanilang konsensya," Aquino said.
Aquino also refuted impeached Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona's accusation that he is bent on establishing a dictatorship that would control the judiciary.
"Sa palagay ko, napakahirap namang intindihin na kami nagdidikta, na kami 'yung hinihilo sa pabagu-bagong mga desisyon na naaapektuhan ang taumbayan," he said in an ambush interview with media.
He also challenged the chief justice to show his Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) to prove that he has diligently filed them annually.
"'Nung sinasabi niyang nag-file siya, 'yun ang pinakasimpleng-simple nilang statement in action: 'Heto 'yung finile ko, maliwanag ba?' Pero hindi ginawa. Bakit kaya?" he asked.
The President clarified he is not out to pick a fight against the entire judiciary.
"I don't think it is the Supreme Court and the executive that has an issue. It is certain personalities that are not doing their branch of the government due service that are causing these problems." - from a report by Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News; ANC

name calling has been around since biblical times. Jesus Christ himself has been called many names. calling PNoy names is not new trend.
On corona
People are happy to see that one of our institution is finally making its way toward a very meaningful and productive undertaking. It may take for quite some time to achieve this, but, nonetheless, we are doing it slowly but surely. The government and or this administration must not stop now to get rid of this terrible people who have become a part of a very bad culture in public service for decades. A culture where public servants think that everything in government is made for them. Everybody is doing it, so, why can't i? yeah right. We have to put and end to this or we're not going to see the light in our lifetime.

Alam mo ba na sinisira mo ang demokrasya na ipinaglaban at ikinamatay ng iyong mga magulang.
Di ba nanumpa ka sa iyong paagkapangulo na ipapatupad mo ang mga batas at ipagtatanggol mo ang Saligang batas. Ano ba sabi ng saligang batas? na ang Supreme court lamang ang me kapangyarihan at katungkulan na mag interprete at me final sa kung constitutional ba o unconstitutional ang ang mga pinaggagawa mo... hindi ikaw!
kaya sa hindi mo pagsunod sa desisyon at hindi pagpapatupad ng orders ng Supreme court, ikaw dapat ang maimpeach! sa pagsuway sa saligang batas at sa direlection of your sworn duties.
On corona
Good! this is good. Aquino finally have come to realized that responding to just about any comment from corona and his subjects were just encouraging them more to do the same. Just like any other guys or gal who realized that the end of their power is getting close to the end of the tube, corona is now holding on to his power and position much the same way as a very frustrated person will hold on to a sharp edge of a blade.
