Del Rosario wishes Clinton's speedy recovery
MANILA, Philippines – Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario sends his best wishes to United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who suffered a concussion while battling a nasty stomach bug on Saturday.
“Having worked with her both bilaterally and in various regional and global fora, I have seen firsthand her dedication to duty and her boundless energy, especially when advocating issues closest to her heart,” del Rosario said in a statement.
Del Rosario said he is optimistic that Clinton “will be back to her normal routine in a few days, ready once again to engage with US allies and friends and the rest of the world which her leadership touches.”
The Foreign Affairs chief said he and his family will join Clinton’s family and friends in praying for her early recovery.
According to Clinton’s doctors, she had experienced "extreme dehydration, and subsequently fainted. Over the course of this week, we evaluated her and ultimately determined she had also sustained a concussion." - with Agence France-Presse
