ILO chief pledges help for PH

MANILA, Philippines - President Aquino met with International Labor Organization (ILO) Director-General Guy Ryder in a courtesy call at the Palace.

Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda said Guy "pledged to assist the Philippines in any way possible."

"The  President shared and discussed with the ILO chief our social programs that we have been implementing such as the CCT, the Philjobnet, and the TESDA scholarships," Lacierda said.

The government's framework agreement with the MILF was also discussed "and how this agreement will pave the way for peace in Mindanao."
