Former president Corazon Aquino on Sunday underwent PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scan and the result showed a “marked improvement” in her condition, said celebrity daughter Kris Aquino on Sunday.
The former leader has been undergoing chemotherapy sessions after she was diagnosed with colon cancer March of this year.
“Today, we had PET Scan. That's the test you do for cancer patients. There's a marked improvement… I went to Manaoag on December 26 and that was really my prayer na sana this test would be good and it was a good test,” “The Buzz” host announced Sunday during the “P.O.V. (Points, Opinions, Violent Reactions)" segment of the showbiz talk show.
Kris was fighting back tears as she shared the good news about her mother’s condition.
She also appealed to the public to continue praying for her mother as the elder Aquino resumes her chemotherapy sessions on Jan. 5, 2009.
“Thank you very much… sana talaga tuloy-tuloy na mag-improve. So, sana talaga we can totally beat cancer,” she said.
