Task force ready for Black Nazarene feast
MANILA – Task Force Nazareno is all set for The Feast of the Black Nazarene on Thursday, January 9.
According to Johnny Yu, officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Aid and Management council, the preparation of the task force with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philppine National Police (PNP) with the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) and the Manila Police District (MPD) is already in force.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Health (DOH) and other involved government agencies, are also making sure the devotees attending the procession will be safe.
It is expected that on Tuesday, January 7, the devotees of the Black Nazarene will start to arrive at Quiapo.
The task force will put up 31 first aid stations along the route of the procession, while the command center will be placed inside the Quiapo Church. -- Report from Dennis Datu, DZMM
