MANILA, Philippines - Unidentified gunmen ambushed and killed a policeman in Baesa, Quezon City, Wednesday afternoon.

Superintendent Alex Sintin, commander of the city police district's Station 3, said Police Officer 2 Dennis Dadea died of gunshot wounds in the head and chest.

Sintin said that according to witnesses, Dadea was shot and killed by 2 gunmen in Sitio Pajo Mendez, Baesa around 4:30 p.m.

He said that based on initial investigations, the killing could have been planned.

He said Dadea led an anti-drugs operation days before he was killed.
