6 domestic flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines -- Cebu Pacific and AirPhil Express on Saturday cancelled some of its domestic flights due to bad weather brought about by tropical depression "Bising."

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) media affairs division said the cancelled flights are:

5J 505 Tuguegarao-Manila

State weather bureau PAGASA said that as of 11 a.m., Bising was 215 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes, and was moving northwest at 17 kilometers per hour (kph).

It has maintained its strength, still packing maximum winds of 45 kph near the center.

Public storm warning signal number 1 has been lifted over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Western Samar and Eastern Samar.

However, storm signal number 1 remains hoisted in Catanduanes, which was expected to experience winds of 45 to 60 kph, PAGASA said. -- With a report from Henry Atuelan, dzMM
