MANILA, Philippines – A Swedish man was arrested in a buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of P5 million worth of shabu in Parañaque City on Saturday.

A joint operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Parañaque Police led to the arrest of 65-year-old Bjarne Schelin.

Schelin, a resident of Parañaque City, was reportedly caught selling 1 kilogram of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Malacañang Village, San Antonio.

Authorities suspect the Swede to be a member of a transnational drug syndicate.
