3 nabbed for violating election gun ban

MANILA, Philippines – Three individuals from Las Piñas City and Pasay City have been arrested by police for violating the election gun ban.
Southern Police District (SPD) said a certain Petronio Montalba was arrested in Las Piñas for carrying an unlicensed .45 firearm.
Montalba’s gun was found inside his car while he was being interrogated following a road accident.
In Pasay, Mark Jeferson Tenorio and Silvestre Laso were caught with 2 loaded caliber .38 revolvers.
Tenorio and Laso were onboard a motorcycle when they were apprehended by police for a traffic violation.
The 3 suspects will face charges of illegal possession of firearms and for violating the omnibus election code. -- Report from Dennis Datu, Radio dzMM
