Fire guts houses in QC
MANILA, Philippines – A fire razed at least seven houses beside Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City on Monday morning.
Sr. Supt. Bobby Baruelo, Bureau of Fire Protection - Quezon City fire marshal, said the blaze started at the house of a certain Wilson Sales where a stove was allegedly left unattended.
The fire started at 10:42 a.m. and quickly spread to adjacent houses. It was declared out at 11:12 a.m.
No one was reported injured in the incident. However, the traffic in the area was snarled when a number of trucks and onlookers arrived.
Baruelo said the cost of damage from the fire was estimated at P500,000. – report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
