3 groups out to rescue Ampatuan Jr.
MANILA, Philippines - At least three different groups composed of former policemen and members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front are plotting to rescue Datu Unsay, Maguindanao Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. from incarceration, the National Bureau of Investigation said Friday.
NBI spokesman Ric Diaz said one of the groups is composed of former policemen who are loyal to the Ampatuans while another group is composed of MILF members and Ampatuan sympathizers. He said at least one of the groups is responsible for the bomb scares in Greenhills and the Supreme Court late last month.
Vice Mayor Esmael Mangudadatu earlier said he received reports that 6 policemen from Maguindanao were sent to Manila to spring Ampatuan Jr. from jail. He said the 6 were also tasked to kill him and his family.
Ampatuan Jr. is facing murder charges for allegedly leading a private army in the massacre of 57 people in Maguindanao province last November 23.

If he is proved guilty for such a massacre, no punishment will be enough for such a crime!
